As we head towards the Christmas break we bid farewell and thank Max Reid for his hard work during his four years at the helm, and welcome Carmel Gregan-Ford into the role of acting CEO for Kidney Health New Zealand.
As with any changes in an organisation it offers the opportunity to review our activities and we look forward to engaging with our stakeholders and supporters in doing this.
There are exciting times ahead as we continue to promote the KHNZ Vision of Better Kidney Health for all New Zealanders.
We are very excited to be planning an event for 40 years of Kidney health New Zealand (formerly the National Kidney Foundation of New Zealand and the New Zealand Kidney Foundation) was established in 1979 and planning is underway to celebrate the progress we have made.
Our consumer council meeting is planned for early next year, this is a great opportunity for usto hear about the issues affecting the kidney community, and helps inform our strategic planning.
We are continuing to support the work being undertaken by health professionals to ensure that patient priorities for research are recognised and these will be reflected in future research projects.
We continue to provide resources for General Practice to assist with the management of chronic kidney disease in primary care, as we work to reduce the number of people affected by kidney disease, and look forward to further engagement with this sector next year.
We are always happy to receive any feedback and are continually looking at ways we can support people affected by kidney disease, so your comments and suggestions are always welcome.
